Trout fishing in Jotunheimen
Experience trout fishing! With over 40 years of experience fishing in rivers, lakes, and streams in Jotunheimen, I now share my favourite fishing spots with you. The trips take us to both small and large mountain lakes, as well as exciting small and large rivers. Where possible, we light a fire and make coffee over the flames. Our fishing trips are guaranteed with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4 participants.
You need to have/bring: warm and windproof clothing, woolen underwear, woolen socks, hat, cap, sunglasses, rain jacket if raining, food and drinks.
Mountain trout fishing 3h
You don't need any prior experience with trout fishing. Instruction will be provided on how to use the equipment, fishing techniques, choice of tackle, and how to read a lake or river. We use casting lure rods and fish with lures, spinners, and possibly bait. We arrange fishing licences and provide all necessary high-quality fishing gear.
The choice of fishing location depends on weather, wind, and season. The meeting point for this trip is Lemonsjø Mountain Lodge, from where we drive up to 20 minutes by private car. Fishing spots are 5-15 minutes walk from the road.

Introduction to fly fishing
Fly fishing for mountain trout combines elegant technique with the angler's skill in reading the river. On this afternoon/ evening trip, I will teach you the basic fishing techniques for various river types and where you're most likely to find trout. Safe wading in flowing rivers, landing fish, and fly selection are important topics. Fly fishing is a challenging activity you never fully master. With quiet and unseen movements at the fishing spot, and a bit of luck, you may catch your first trout on the fly!
We arrange fishing licences and provide all necessary quality fishing gear, including waders. No prior knowledge is required. The meeting point is the car park at Hulderstigen.

Mountain trout fishing 6h
The fishing location will be chosen based on weather, wind, and season. No previous trout fishing experience is necessary. You will receive thorough instruction on equipment use, fishing techniques, choice of tackle, and how to read a lake or river. We use casting lure rods and fish with lures, spinners, and possibly bait. We arrange fishing licences and provide all necessary high-quality fishing gear.
On this full-day trip, expect up to an hour's walk. Details of the meeting point between Randsverk and Gjende will be sent by email three days prior.
